Sara Boult - Registered Manager - Exeter / Plymouth

Sara has worked in the care industry for over 17 years during which time she has worked in Domiciliary care and supported living providing 24 hour specialist care to clients with a variety of disabilities. She began working for Purple Balm in May 2014 and is passionate about providing person centred care and ensuring that Purple Balm continues to support their clients both in their homes and in establishments. 

Shona Ankers - Finance Manager - Exeter

I am the Finance Manager. I am AAT qualified and have 15+ years’ experience in the charity sector. I previously worked for EDP Drug and Alcohol services in Exeter and understand how difficult and rewarding it can be working in this field. The Finance teams objectives are: to establish and maintain a programme of financial management, budgetary control and audit compliance; to provide a structure which is fit for purpose; to ensure that services and operations are delivered in the best value framework; and to continuously improve service delivery and management of resources

Steve Davey - Field Care Supervisor - Exeter

Steve has been working in the care industry for 6+ years and joined our team in June 2014, having worked as a Field Care Manager with his previous employer.

Steve is very passionate about his job and likes to ensure that clients receive quality care. With this in mind, Steve has completed his Moving and Handling qualification, and can be seen delivering this knowledge to our staff.

Cat Nicholls - Senior Care Coordinator - Exeter

Cat has worked in the care industry for 24+ years. She has worked as a carer in nursing / residential homes and as a senior community carer. Before joining the Purple team Cat worked as a senior care co-ordinator with another care provider for three years.

Suzie Meynell - Training Manager

An experienced trainer having worked in the Recruitment and Training of staff in a wide range of business settings. I am responsible for the development and delivery of most of our training courses here at Purple Balm. I have worked within the private and public sector and have always strived to encourage others I have worked with to recognise their full potential and welcome the career opportunities along the way.
In addition to being committed to providing the very highest standard of
Training to external partners I also strive to provide quality training and
support to our team of office staff. I enjoy building the relationship with both the company as well as the individual receiving the training.

Nicky Dawe - Field Care Supervisor - Plymouth

Nicky has worked in various care settings for 15+ years including mental health, residential and domiciliary.  She has worked at all levels up to manager. Nicky worked for Carewatch as a Health Care Assistant and Supervisor before it was taken over by Purple Balm where she has worked since. Nicky became the service manager for the Plymouth Branch in June.

Nicky enjoys meeting clients and being in a position where she can help model a care package to suit them and hopefully make life a little easier for them.

Charlotte Homer - Care Coordinator - Plymouth

Charlotte has been in the care industry for 8+ years, starting as a cleaner in a Nursing Home at the age of 16. When she turned 18 she became a Care Assistant and gained her NVQ3 in Health and Social Care.  Charlotte was in the top 5 in the South West and reached the final in the Great British Care Awards twice and was asked to go to the National Finals. Charlotte gained experience in Nursing, Residential and Domiciliary care before becoming a Care Coordinator at Purple Balm.  She thoroughly enjoys working for Purple Balm and working with all their clients and staff.  Charlotte is passionate helping to provide the best care possible.

Karen Romans - Registered Manager - Newton Abbot

Karen has worked in the Care Industry for 5+ years and joined Purple Balm in October 2015.  She has a good level of understanding having worked as a Carer, Co-ordinator and Office manager for her previous Employer. Karen is passionate about a providing a Client centred approach and her focus is giving continuity of care to her Clients.

Karen believes that for a company to succeed there must be a high level of trust and reliability between Staff both office based and Carers alike.

Karin Dyke - Field Care Supervisor - Newton Abbot

Karin has worked in the care industry for 8+ years. She has an excellent knowledge of care from her previous employment as a carer and as a Field care Supervisor.

Karin is passionate about ensuring the best standard of care is provided to our Clients which is achieved through high levels of communication, understanding and on-going monitoring of our care Team.

I have worked in the care industry for 23 years, mainly with young people with learning disabilities and deaf/blind people in both schools and residential settings. I then decided to change direction and thought I could put my people skills to good use as a receptionist at a GP Surgery and a Veterinary Surgery. I missed working in the care sector, and applied for the position of Training Administrator for Purple Balm.
